Posted: 17 Feb 2021 11:08 PM PST NieR Re[in]carnation iOS, Android Ι Genre: More than an RPG Develop a dragon flight simulator; this is what Yoko Taro, Takuya Iwasaki, and Takamasa Shiba decided to do after a night out. The next morning this dynamic trio started to work on the idea, thinking about gameplay mechanics, story, and all the other features to make an official proposal to Square-Enix as quickly as possible… this is how Drakengard was born! Part Action-RPG, part Musou, and part Shooter; Drakengard is a trilogy set in a dark fantasy world that sees the hundreds of humans, elves, fairies, and obviously dragons fight a long war against the evil Empire who is determined to rule over the whole planet. Receiving very good reviews practically everywhere; Drakengard is one of the most interesting series that appeared on PlayStation 2 before and PlayStation 3 then. But it is important for another reason; in fact, without Drakengard there wouldn't be any NieR game. Yes, you read correctly; Drakengard is the progenitor of the one and only NieR series, and we are soooo grateful to Taro-san, Iwasaki-san, and Shiba-san for allow us to live such deeply emotional stories! Accompanied by a ghost-like creature known as Mama; in NieR Re[in]carnation for iOS & Android we must help the White Girl to restore her lost memory and collect all the fragments of the past. As Yoko Taro has accustomed us; also this game is much more than it seems at first glance; according to his exact words "I don’t think you can even call it an RPG" even if it is categorized as a Role-playing Game.
