Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is an upcoming third-person shooter platform game from developer Insomniac Games and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The game launches on June 11 for PlayStation 5.

More so, this title has a stand-alone storyline, but for sure with tons of connection to the previous game, that longtime fans of the series will love to know.

Shin Nihon Kikaku & Capsule Computers are two of the most important developers and publishers in the whole game industry!
Established in Osaka in July 1978, the previous company has been founded by Eikichi Kawasaki; at its beginning, SNK produced software and hardware components for other companies, but noticing the ultra-fast growing popularity of coin-op; especially Space Invaders who caused a shortage of 100-yen coins in whole Japan; he decided to rush headlong into this newborn technology.

Battle without limits!

The activity in the video games field started in 1979 when SNK released Ozma Wars; a shoot'em inspired by Taito's Space Invaders. But it's only in 1981 with the release of Vanguard that the popularity of this company increased enormously. Always on the lookout for new challenges; in 1989, they released a new kind of arcade machine. Based on the idea to pack many games in a single cabinet, and presenting four new titles at once (NAM-1975, Baseball Stars Professional, Top Player's Golf, and Magician Lord) SNK gave birth to the legendary Neo-Geo Multi-Video System. Offering the same experiences of coin-ops in the living rooms using bigger, badder, and better cartridges!

The history of Capcom instead started one year after, more precisely in May 1979; when the I.R.M Corporation started its activity in the game machine industry. Anyway, it's only in 1983 that the Capcom we all know came to life. Its first title was not a video game, but a medal game entitled Little League; their first coin-op video game, instead, appeared in May 1984, it was a vertical shoot'em up called Vulgus!
Through the decades Capcom created many characters who became actual pop-icons recognized practically everywhere. Names like Ryu, Mega Man, Dante, or Haggar are very well known not only among gamers but across all strata of society.

Like SNK ones, also Capcom games inspired more than a generation of developers to work hard to create fantastic titles that could be appreciated by the greatest number of players. Cooperating at the highest levels with other companies like Tatsunoko, Namco, Cave, Marvel, and Psikyo; Capcom released dozens of titles in which its characters joined their forces with superstars of the caliber of Captain America, Iron Man, Klonoa, Heihachi & Yatterman to provide exciting crossover experience…

But it's only in 1999 that the biggest crossover awaited from millions of people appeared; obviously, we're referring to the SNK vs. Capcom series, and finally the first chapter SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium is ready to reach all the Nintendo Switch owners!
