MyDearest Inc. will bring the VR sci-fi visual novel and mech game ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos to SteamVR and PSVR this year. The publisher/developer announced that the game will head to Steam first on February 19 followed by its PlayStation VR release on April 15. In case you’re not familiar, it was originally released as an Oculus exclusive last December 2020. And soon, this anime-style sci-fi adventure is ready to be experienced by a whole new set of audiences. Game Overview ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos is set 200 years after Tokyo Chronos. This game puts players in the shoes of a genetically enhanced android super-soldier known as Lieutenant Chloe. Humanity is on the brink of oblivion and you must fight to save mankind against the colossal enemies called Meteoras that invaded the planet’s surface. Pilot the massive battle robot Makhia, designed to slaughter the Meteoras. Make choices, investigate mysteries, and get ready to embark on blood-pumping missions. But that’s not all! The game will also feature an Adventure mode. Here’s how the developer describes the mode: In Adventure mode, explore the planet's last refuge, Augmented Tokyo. Get to know the residents of this underground city and take in concerts from this world's virtual celebrity, Noa, who also serves as Chloe's co-pilot. Discover branching paths with the help of the Libra system, which guides Chloe toward certain choices, and deploy the Ariadne system to travel back to previous decisions to alter the course of fate and uncover multiple endings in a 15 to 20 hour story.

Posted: 16 Feb 2021 09:18 PM PST  Persona 5 Strikers PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch Ι Genre: Musou Thieves of Hearts “A kind of mask, designed on the one hand to make a definite impression upon others, and on the other to conceal the true nature of the individual”.
The statement above has been coined by the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung to define the concept of Persona. Together with three other major archetypes (Shadow, Anima, and Self); the Persona reveals the true nature of people preparing them to enter into adulthood and to challenge the external world. From a pop point of view, these ideas have been rarely exploited, but 24 years ago a Japanese company called Atlus exploited all of them in an unconventionally dark series of JRPGs; obviously, its name was Persona!
Born as a spin-off of Shin Megami Tensei; the first chapter entitled Megami Ibunroku Persona has been released on September 20, 1996, exclusively for PlayStation. Set in the St. Hermelin High School; the story involves the protagonist (a.k.a. the pierced boy), and his classmates in a perfectly mixed horror/sci-fi adventure in which they must unleash their inner Personas to save the hometown from the demons who threaten it. Don’t think… feel! Despite the mature plot in which conscious, and unconscious aspects of everyone’s personalities are revealed and complex gameplay mechanics; Megami Ibunroku Persona got an unexpected success selling several thousand copies very quickly, and due to its popularity three months later appeared on the US stores' shelves as Revelations: Persona. No one could imagine that a brand new kind of JRPG sub-genre was born and that it is still healthy even nowadays. Through the decades, Persona titles have explored several different sub-genres including fighting games, dungeon crawlers, music games, and so on. Also, it transcended the game industry becoming an actual multimedia project with dozens of anime, manga, stage plays, novels, concerts, and magazines that revealed everything, literally everything about the characters of the series.
But tomorrow something wonderful will occur; for the very first time, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts from Persona 5 will engage in something never experienced before.
