Last week, Square Enix gifted its audience a sweet Valentine treat with Final Fantasy VII Remake‘s opening movie in time for Valentine’s Day. Check out the cinematic and undoubtedly beautiful opening movie of FFVII Remake below!

The video above takes us to Midgar but unlike the previous trailers and clips, the opening movie gave us a better look at the city. It shows the industrial city of Midgar and a more detailed remastered look on Aerith and Cloud. This 5-minute opening movie will surely captivate new and old fans of Final Fantasy VII.

Also, if you’ve noticed you can hear Sephiroth’s theme song ” One winged angel”, how nostalgic is that?

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released in multiple parts. During E3 2019, Final Fantasy VII Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase took the stage and discussed tidbits of information about the game. According to the producer, the massive content of the game, which is the first part, will be released on the official launch date, which will require two Blu-ray discs. However, the initial release of the game will still not cover the full Final Fantasy VII story.

Game Overview

For a brief overview, the upcoming game is a remake of the 1997 PlayStation title, Final Fantasy VII. The game follows the role of the mercenary Cloud Strife as he and eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE battle against the wicked Shinra megacorporation and the rogue former Shinra soldier Sephiroth. The gameplay is planned to combine real-time action and turn-based elements just like with Dissidia Final Fantasy.

The remake will only include the part of the story in Midgar, but according to Kitase, it will be a "fully standalone gaming experience." The producer added, "At that point, we decided we're going to focus this game on Midgar and what happened in Midgar," Kitase said. "And unfortunately, we can't say anything more about future games after that, because we don't know ourselves, really."

More so, Kitase said that he and his team in Square Enix are still "fleshing out" what will be covered in the game’s next chapter.

Before its official launch this week, Atlus has revealed Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers‘ third official trailer last February 14, check it out below!

This will be the game’s 3rd official trailer before its release on the 20th in Japan. The video above features more gameplay scenes at the same time giving ample sneak peek on the game’s storyline and some of the bosses to whom the Phantom Thieves will go against.

Bandai Namco keeps on pouring some new updates for the upcoming One Piece game, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. And, the publisher is back on track to bring a new update for this action adventure video game.

The game publisher has unveiled the Japanese TV commercial for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. In the commercial, it mainly focuses on Whole Cake Island Arc. For a brief background, Whole Cake Island Arc is the 29th story arc in One Piece and the second to the Yonko Saga.

Game Overview

During Bandai Namco's "Play Anime" panel at Anime Expo 2019, Bandai Namco, Koei Tecmo, and Omega Force revealed the newest installment in the One Piece: Pirate Warriors series, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. It is an action-adventure game based on the classic Shonen Jump series, One Piece, that will be released in 2020.

The latest installment is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. The announcement was accompanied by a debut trailer which can be seen below.

Here's how Bandai Namco describes the upcoming game:

The Pirate Warriors are back and bring with them a more explosive story, more environments and even crazier attacks in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. Follow Luffy and the Straw Hats from the beginning as they make their journey through different islands and onwards in the hopes of finding the illustrious treasure—the One Piece. At first, it was initially scheduled for January 21, 2020. However, Capcom announced this collection delayed for February 2020 release. So, it’s time to put an alert as this collection is coming on February 25th in the West and February 27th in Japan.
