The Last of Us Part II: Playable at PAX East + Free Dynamic Theme! Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story New Details Revealed! Posted: 11 Feb 2020 10:25 PM PST Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story PS4 & Switch– Japan In just a few days, publisher Spike Chunsoft and developer Acquire's action RPG, Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story will arrive on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. And before the game's full release, the developer and publisher make sure that they feed the players the right amount of information about the game. Recently, a bunch of new details featuring the game's bodyguards, accessories, and costumes are revealed. You can check it all out below via Gematsu. Bodyguard The Kurou Family's shop on the Hill of Six Bones offers extra assistance that can help you in the game. In their shop, you can pay a contract fee to hire a bodyguard that will serve as your aid in your adventure to the other world that is called Jikai. Both the player and the bodyguards have a “Dan” ranking that shows their level. As soon as both of them levels up, their HP will be fully replenished. The only difference between the Dan ranking of the player and the bodyguard is that the player’s Dan ranking will reset upon its return to the real world while the bodyguard’s Dan will be carried over. And if your bodyguard’s HP dropped down to zero during your adventure in Jikai, you can spend an extra contract fee to revive him and fully recover his HP. Please note as well that some bodyguards will be having some special requests that you have to fulfill before you can hire them. Bodyguards For Hire Bodyguard Evolution You may encounter several dedicated events in the game as a result of the special requests from bodyguards. Watch your bodyguard companions grow in shape and ability in line with their story. Customization Play with your character’s appearance as you mix and match the best accessories and outfits for them! Go to Akadama Clan's shop on the Hill of Six Bones to purchase your preferred accessories and outfits for your character. You can design your accessories in the game’s equipment field on the menu screen. Meanwhile, you need to access the closet at the smithy for you to change outfits.  Accessories Enjoy and choose from more than 100 accessories featured in the game. Plus, take note that some of the accessories have support effects. Feel free to use five accessories at the same time with multiple support effects active at once. However, please note that your accessories will be lost if you die in Jikai.  Outfits You can also check out some outfits inspired by the earlier entries in the Way of the Samurai franchise.  Thanks, Gematsu! The origin of this meta world has deep roots dated back to the 1992's sci-fi novel Snow Crash. Its inspiring story starts in the 21st century Los Angeles; dominated by megacorporations, like the rest of the world, even in the City of Angels they rule undisputed forging the destinies of millions of people. But as history teaches us, where there is a dictatorship, there is also rebellion, and in the novel, its name is Hiro Protagonist. Working as pizza delivery man, he's also a skillful hacker who finds himself embroiled in a full scale, never-ending war which objective is the possession of a Sumerian artifact who can solve the mystery behind the origin of languages, and at the same time will carry Hiro and his allies in the digital metaverse where conspiracies, wrong ideas, half-truths and lies created division and hatred among the different populations.
