Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny New Update: Item Worlds, Team Attacks & More! Posted: 27 Dec 2020 10:07 PM PST Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny PS4 & Switch – JAPAN The upcoming title in the Disgaea series, Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny received a bunch of new updates featuring its characters, item worlds, team attacks and giant units. You can check out the details below. Laharl – The protagonist of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. He is the successor to the Overlord of another Netherworld, and prides himself on being the Netherworld's most evil. He has a supreme and self-centered personality. He hates "plump" women. Etna – Laharl's vassal. She can be very sarcastic. She reveres the late King Krichevskoy, Laharl's father. She is known as harshest Prinny tamer in the Netherworld. Flonne – A former angel apprentice who became a Fallen Angel for the crime of hurting angels. She is obsessed with love and superhero shows. Her favorite food is tomalley. As a former angel apprentice, she is devoted to her love of missionary activities, but has yet to see any results… Item Worlds – Items such as weapons and consumables have a world inside them called an "Item World." Item Worlds are divided into several floors (layers), and the item's level increases for every floor you clear. Since weapons become stronger as they level up, you can clear their Item Worlds to power them up. Once an item is leveled up, you can get the same item at the same level from then on. Many enemies will attack Zed and company, who are the invaders in Item Worlds. Destroy them or step on the Skip Gate to proceed to the next floor. By defeating the boss that appears every certain number of floors, the item will become even stronger. Item Worlds also feature a third force in addition to enemies, such as "Innocents" and "Lucky Boards." Although neither will actively attack you, you can gain various benefits by defeating them, so be sure to attack if you seem them. Item World Research Squad – Item Worlds have various elements to enjoy, but it may be too much to handle if there are a lot of items you want to enhance…. Not to worry! In Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, you can dispatch an "Item World Research Squad" to clear Item Worlds. —The stronger the squad dispatched to the Item World, the higher their success rate. For each battle the player completes, the dispatched squad will clear one floor, so be sure to send out a squad when leveling or auto-repeating. —When you dispatch a squad, you can select from four areas of research to prioritize (item enhancement, item exploration, Innocents farming, and Extract farming). Select which ones to prioritize based on your goal. If you select all four areas of research, the results will be the same as not selecting anything at all, so be sure to narrow down the areas you want to research! Team Attacks – Moreover, the game will also feature a new attack system that can support up to 10 characters. You can use this during an attack when there are party members in the surrounding two tiles. “Team Attack” will occur and will increase your attack ability. Also, in this game, you can use the Team Attack with up to ten characters at once. Build up damage in Team Attacks and set your sights on defeating the God of Destruction! —During Team Attacks, you can see the cut-ins illustrated by Takehito Harada. Line up your favorite characters and attack in unison! —You can also change the colors of characters, which changes their cut-in illustration colors. Giant Units (Dragon, Clawed Shell, & Horseman) – This is where things get more interesting. A bigger and stronger unit is here! Giant Units are five times their size. With their gigantic height, a huge possibility of defeating your enemy is on the horizon! These giants can attack three tiles in front.  But, that’s not all!
