Game Overview
This game brings you to the Shimane prefecture wherein this is also the location of the Root Letter game. You’ll soon discover that you are in the deep thrilling murder story. Root Film is all about a TV series entitled Shimane Mystery Drama Project. This TV series was canceled for an unknown reason 10 years ago. Now, they want to bring back the project with the three teams with the director and an actress booked as a part of the cast. The main protagonist named Rintaro Yagumo, a 23-year old man doesn’t expect that his excitement will turn into terrors as a shocking crime happened in their location scouting process. Follow him and the rest of the characters of Root Film to find the truth behind this murder incident.
Root Film is written by Hifumi Kouno and the characters are designed by Taro Mino. Along with Rintaro Yagumo, there’s also another protagonist named Riho.

Xenomorphs, Cylons, Time Lords, and Arachnids; these are four of the most powerful alien races ever appeared on celluloid. Since the invention of cinema; a lot of directors tried to expand their (and our) horizons portraying unforgettable stories in which the human race gets in touch with beings from other planets. Some of them are friendly, but the majority are extremely dangerous. In a search for food or new territories to conquer; these deadly creatures killed thousand of billions of terrestrials in only 125 years (when the first film has been screened).
But even if we met at least hundreds of different invaders; there is only one race that hunts us for fun, and to show to its own kind the hunting skills of every individual. The Yautja!
Provided with a high sense of honor; many ancient cultures such as Aztec, ancient Egyptians, or Khmer Empire worshipped this race as demigods due to their incredibly advanced technology, and their exceptional combat skills.
The traces of Yautja’s presence on our planet were destined to be covered by the sands of time. When in 1987, a new individual landed in Central America to hunt humans and carry their skulls to his planet. But even if in the distant past his mission was quite considered quite simple; during the 80s he crossed his path with Schwarzy that gave him a very hard time.
After it, the Predator (as it has been rebaptized) conquered a lot of hearts; leaving in place the heads of his fans. During his long career, he clashed with the most popular individuals of the galaxy including Aliens, Batman, Superman, Judge Dredd, and even… the Riverdale's superstar Archie Andrews!!!
But in these days, a new batch of Predators has been spotted in different parts of the world; load the weapons, grab the joypads, and get ready to live an extreme hunting session with Predator: Hunting Grounds for PlayStation 4!

Make sure to connect your Nintendo Switch console to the internet to successfully download Version 1.2.0 of the game. Once downloaded, you should see the newest version number displayed on the right-topmost part of the screen once the game is loaded.
Also, Nintendo notes that all players must be using the same software version to play together. You can check out the patch note from the company below:
Ver. 1.2.0 (Released April 22, 2020)
The software has been updated if you see "Ver. 1.2.0" in the upper-right corner of the title screen.
