Xuan-Yuan Sword VII‘s release date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the West is finally announced. According to the developers Softstar Entertainment, DOMO Studio, and Yooreka Studio, the game is set to launch this September. In addition, Maximum Games will distribute the physical versions.

Furthermore, both the physical and digital versions of the game for the said platforms will launch in September. Also, if you missed the most recent gameplay trailer of the game, you can watch it below!

The video above showcased some puzzles and minigames including Zhuolu Chess.

Game Overview

Xuan-Yuan Sword VII is an action RPG with elements of Chinese history and mythology. You take the role of Taishi Zhao, a swordman who’s involved in a tragic fate. He must protect his beloved ones by starting a new adventure to find the truth in the chaotic world of this game.

Here’s the official synopsis below via Steam.

In the last of Western Han Dynasty, the powerful prime minister of China superseded his emperor and build a new dynasty called Xin. In this year, words appeared on the boulders, stone cattles appeared in fields, and ancient tombs cracked, tremendous signs appeared, told a time of peace and prosperity will come. A peculiar bamboo slip in the crypt of Marquis of Liu was delivered to Court Astrologer's hand. Unexpectedly, Taishi Mansion was badly damaged by a bizarre fire that night, and all his family was killed in the fire and the bamboo slip disappeared.

Ten years later, the prosperity mentioned in the prophecy has never come. A decade of war and famine, the people were miserable, and the chaos had spread among the country.

At this time, the bamboo slip which had disappeared for 10 years emerged again, it caused an uproar…

The release date is now confirmed! Compile Heart has announced the launch date for Death end re;Quest 2 Switch version. Set your alarms as this JRPG is coming on August 19 via Nintendo eShop. So, are you ready to welcome this JRPG this month?

Game Overview

Death end re;Quest 2 focuses on the brand new heroines namely Mai Higayshima, Rotten Dollheart, and Lilliana Piata. They find themselves in a mysterious event wherein the students are disappearing. The setting will be similar to Southeastern Europe called Liz Shoala with a mix of occult horror. Death end re;Quest first game characters Shiina Ninomiya, Summer Life, and Lydia will appear at some point in the game.

Collaboration with Ao Oni

Compile Heart also announced the collaboration of this game to the Ao Oni. What to look forward to this collaboration? Well, folks, you will experience the original Ao Oni in the world of Death end re;Quest 2.

If you are not familiar with Ao Oni, this is an RPG horror game developed by noprops. It’s all about a boy with his friends trapped inside a haunted mansion and a monster known as the Oni chases them. They must escape the haunted mansion to survive.
