Posted: 05 Apr 2022 08:43 PM PDT Captain America, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Thor, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and obviously Spider-Man; with comics before and the movies now, Marvel reshaped the mythical figures of gods & heroes with brand new generations of characters that don't look out of place in ancient texts written by Homer, Ovid, or Snorri Sturluson. Thanks to iconic characters, and a non-stopping expanding multiverse; reading or watching them we are free to travel among hundreds of worlds without problems to live unforgettable adventures. Obviously the concept of "multiverse" is not an original creation of Timely Publications (the first name of Marvel), but we can find it in very ancient texts such as the Hindu Puranas or in the One Thousand and One Nights; anyway, we're here to discuss about comics, and the first one that included this charming idea was "Flash of Two Worlds". Published in 1961, in this story Barry Allen meets Jason “Jay” Peter Garrick – the Golden Age Flash – giving birth not only to a new way to insert lost characters but also to a new kind of narration that fascinates billions of people on Earth 616. In our reality, one of the greatest superheroes is without any doubt the legendary friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!
